This course will introduce key elements of graphic design, including typography, illustration, logo design, and color theory. Students will learn the skills and design principles needed to enhance their visual storytelling strategies and create eye-catching presentations, developing a creative process for both print and screen design. Through weekly assignments, students will begin to understand the impact of graphic details - such as grid structures and typeface choices - on visual communication, and use that knowledge to create and manipulate analogue and electronic imaging. Software applications used in the course include but are not limited to those in the Adobe suite.
